Skill Session KNIT: Continental Style MON May 18th 6:30-7:30pm
FOR AGES 14 and UP
Curious about Continental? Left-hand tensioning is popular for its speed and ergonomics, and can be particularly well-suited for those who also crochet. Join Aimee as we cover the basics of continental style knitting and learn to hold tension evenly.
PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS NOT A LEARN TO KNIT CLASS. STUDENTS MUST HAVE SOME EXPERIENCE WORKING THE KNIT STITCH.
MATERIALS: Yarn in your preferred weight, and needles required for that weight yarn.
SKILLS REQUIRED: Experience with the knit stitch, in any tensioning style.
SKILL LEVEL: Intermediate.
Supply List:
- Worsted weight yarn in a mid-tone color; please avoid white, black, and anything fuzzy or novelty.
- US 8 or 9 knitting needles
- Pen or pencil for taking notes
- Reading glasses if necessary
- Optional: Specific and relevant patterns/projects that are relevant to the topic of the class.
- Optional: Drink with a secure lid. (No food, please)
Gauge Cancellation Policy
Students will receive a full refund or credit if cancelling a registration at least three days before the first class meeting. Cancellations may be emailed to info@gaugeyarn.com or you can call 512-371-9300. If a student cancels less than three days before the first class meeting, or drops out of a class in progress, full tuition and fees are forfeited. We will make exceptions for illness as we do not want sick people attending class. Please contact us.
We reserve the right to cancel a class due to under-enrollment. Registered students will be notified by phone and email 48 hours in advance if a cancellation due to under-enrollment should occur.
