Funfetti Sock Guided Knit Along 

Ready to level-up your knitting game?   House of Hogbuffer creates innovative and fun patterns that are rooted in logic and clear directions, and Funfetti brings joyful colorwork to a classic top-down sock construction.  Knitted at a sturdy 9 stitches per inch, these socks are a fantastic project  for the intermediate knitter. During the guided knitalong, you’ll get instruction and support at every step along the way, from cuff to colorwork, and heel and toe.  

PLEASE NOTE: WHILE SUITABLE FOR MANY KNITTERS, THIS IS NOT A BEGINNER LEVEL KNIT CLASS. EXPERIENCE WORKING WITH FINER-WEIGHT YARNS IS RECOMMENDED. STUDENTS MUST BE ABLE TO TENSION THEIR YARN SNUGLY AND BOTH KNIT AND PURL STITCHES WITHOUT GUIDANCE.

May 13:  Gauge, casting on, working ribbing
May 27:  Stranded knitting colorwork and heel flap construction
June 10 : Turning the heel and working the gusset
June 24: Knitting the toe and grafting

Skill level:

• Intermediate - Advanced

• Comfortable working with fingering or sport weight yarns. 

• Experience working 1 project in the round: hat, cowl, etc. 

Learn these skills:

• Understanding negative ease and how it affects fit

• Using colorwork charts

• Heel and toe construction

Project Requirements:

• Funfetti  pattern, free on Ravelry  https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/funfetti-2

• Sock Yarn in 4 contrasting colors, totalling 100g/400 yds 

• US 00 - 2 needles to obtain gauge of 9 sts/inch; dpns, magic loop, or 9” circular are all fine.

• Stitch markers

• Tapestry needle
