Come and learn the basics of crochet!
AGES 12 & up
This class is for true beginners. Part 1 will start right at the beginning, showing you how to hold the yarn and hook at the same time, make a slip knot, chain stitches, and introduce the single crochet stitch. Part 2 will help fine-tune your technique, plus learn the half and double crochet stitches.
All materials are provided for practice during class. If you would like to take materials home, you'll get a 10% discount on the day of class. A basic crochet hook and skein of yarn are available for around $10, and your instructor will be happy to offer guidance.
Gauge Cancellation Policy
Students will receive a full refund or credit if cancelling a registration at least three days before the first class meeting. Cancellations may be emailed to info@gaugeyarn.com or you can call 512-371-9300. If a student cancels less than three days before the first class meeting, or drops out of a class in progress, full tuition and fees are forfeited. We will make exceptions for illness as we do not want sick people attending class. Please contact us.
We reserve the right to cancel a class due to under-enrollment. Registered students will be notified by phone and email 48 hours in advance if a cancellation due to under-enrollment should occur.
